A strategy beneficial for any grade level and subject. It is particularly beneficial to use with dependent readers because it helps students to put their thoughts into words, while also giving the teacher insight as to how the student is thinking.

Say Something

A during reading strategy that keeps students engaged and helps support efforts to make sense of challenging text in any content area or grade level.

Probable Passage

A before-reading strategy that helps students activate their prior knowledge by having them categorize the given vocabulary words and then predict what the story will be about.  

Somebody Wanted But So
This is a comprehension strategy that should be used for after reading the text. It provides the students with looking at characters and events, conflicts and resolutions.
